You seem to have a way with making a simple theme and idea into a fascinating painting just by the brush stoke movements in the face. Great work

Wonderful portrait Heather. As always.

I love Salt Spring Island, It's such a tight knitted art community. I've been there three times. The last time was the best, because I got to meet and take pictures of Robert Bateman, an idol of mine since I was 12 years old. I went to his home for an interview, I was not the reporter but the candid photographer/graphic designer putting the story together for the publication that employees me. Robert was a wonderful man, he signed all my books of his that I had bought over the years. His property was beautiful and such a lovely and almost quaint home, nestled in the woods on a lake. Robert gave us twice the time that was allotted to us for the interview.
